The Wallström Scandal Again. When I first wrote that the Daily Telegraph seemed to be wrong about what Wallström had said in Terezin, I did of course not intend to defend her, but criticise that paper. They turned out to be right though; she had three scandalous lines in her first draft speech. She now claims to have alluded to racists and not EU-critics, but that is not what those lines say - she still has to correct that clearly. The other part of the article in Daily Telegraph, claiming that the Commission urged people to vote yes to the Constitution in memory of the victims of WWII, however, was indeed wrong. That is not at all what the Commission said - fortunately. The Daily Telegraph founded that allegation on a misleading interpretation of a press release, and my criticism of them was right in that part. Blogs have often been successful media critics, and it is important not to restrict that to occasions when media has a socialist tendency. Unfounded anti-EU-propaganda is also relevant to expose.
