Another Image from Reality. Imagine for a moment that you run a small restaurant in the Swedish countryside. (Thereby, you support yourself, provide food and drinks to consumers, create jobs for employees and contribute to general prosperity. On top of that you pay the highest taxes in the world, as if you din?t do something good.) Anyway, you have to do some investments to improve your place, some rebuilding. Thus, in the European single market you hire a company form Poland. You agree to pay them what they demand and they agree to do the rebuilding - everyone wins. But there is a fourth party - government and its taxes is the third - which happens to be one of the most powerful organisations in the country: the trade union of Swedish construction workers. They demand that the company from Poland signs a collective deal about wages with them, despite the fact that none of the Polish workers is a member. Of course they refuse. What happens? The trade union puts the place in a blockade, sealing off your property. And they try to get other trade unions to stop things like electricity. Yes, it is a true story. It is taking place right now. Some fundamental questions need to be asked: How can the trade union be allowed to seal off my property? How can they be allowed to interfere when none of their members is affected? How much productive work in society is destroyed by government and trade unions?
