FT: "Real Swedish jobless rate 15 %". In today′s Financial Times, there is a news article absout Sweden, mainly based on the study that McKinsey Global Institute published a while ago. It states clearly that the real rate of unemployment is a totally different one than the official rate. But a point in the article is also that they quote the forecast for municipal tax rate increases (kommunalskatt). They will rise from today′s 30 per cent on average to 50 per cent - if these services are to continue to remain public. That would, of course, be a disastrous development. Thus, reforms that privatise health care, education and elderly care get increasingly important.
