Eastern Berlin. I am in Berlin, earlier today I spoke at the European Freedom Summit. When visiting many cities, one develops an ability to quickly sense their state. I had read about the poor state of Berlin, and noticed it clearly when arriving. Cracked streets, low activity, many rather miserable people, deteriorating facades of buildings, etc. Germany truly needs reforms that liberates creativity and growth.
